6th Siedlce PhD Students' Forum

The Doctoral Student Government Council of the University of Siedlce cordially invites you to participate in the 6th Siedlce Doctoral Student Forum. We invite doctoral students from all academic institutions to present a paper and publish a chapter in a monograph. Active (doctoral students) and passive (other) participation in the conference is free of charge. The Forum will be held on May 11, 2026, in a hybrid format: • in-person - at the University of Siedlce (Faculty of Social Sciences, ul. Żytnia 39), • remotely - via the Google Meet platform (the link to the event will be provided at a later date). The estimated time for a paper presentation is 15 minutes. Participation in the Forum is free of charge. It is possible to publish a chapter in a peer-reviewed, multi-author monograph. "Different Perspectives - A Common World" is the guiding principle of the 6th Siedlce Doctoral Forum. In keeping with the spirit of interdisciplinarity, the Forum aims to create a space for discussion, exchange of ideas, experiences, and knowledge among doctoral students from various fields of science and academic disciplines. The event allows for the presentation of doctoral students' research achievements and progress in their doctoral dissertations. We encourage you to participate in the 6th Siedlce Doctoral Forum, as it provides the opportunity to: • popularize ongoing research, • exchange opinions and experiences with doctoral students from other disciplines and academic centers, • expand interpersonal and research skills. We invite doctoral students pursuing education and research in the following disciplines to participate in the Forum: • history, • literary studies, • mathematics, • biological sciences, • chemical sciences, • safety sciences, • management and quality sciences, • health sciences, • pedagogy, • agriculture and horticulture, • animal husbandry and fisheries. Those declaring participation in the conference are asked to: • read the Participant Guide, available on the Forum website, • register for participation (active or passive) by April 15, 2026, via the Uws Conference System, • submit a certificate/declaration confirming doctoral student status (if registering for active participation), • submit a text formatted in accordance with editorial requirements by June 30, 2026 (if expressing interest in publishing a chapter in a peer-reviewed, multi-author monograph). PARTICIPANT GUIDE 6TH SIEDLCE PhD STUDENTS' FORUM University of Siedlce - May 11, 2026 I. GENERAL INFORMATION 1. The organizer of the 6th Siedlce PhD Students' Forum (hereinafter referred to as the "Forum") is the Doctoral Students' Self-Government Council of the Doctoral School of the University of Siedlce. 2. The Forum will be held on May 11, 2026, in a hybrid format: • in-person - at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Siedlce, ul. Żytnia 39, 08-100 Siedlce. • online - via the Google Meet platform. 3. Participation in the Forum is free of charge, both active (presentation and/or publication) and passive (participation without presentation or publication). 4. Active participation is open to PhD students from all academic centers in Poland. 5. Passive participation is open to all science enthusiasts. II. FORUM OBJECTIVES 1. The Forum aims to: a. exchange knowledge, experiences, and ideas among doctoral students, b. present research results and progress in their doctoral theses, c. integrate the academic community, d. develop presentation and interpersonal skills, e. create a space for constructive discussion. III. TOPIC SCOPE 1. The Forum covers the following scientific disciplines: • history, • literary studies, • mathematics, • biological sciences, • chemical sciences, • safety sciences, • management and quality sciences, • health sciences, • pedagogy, • agriculture and horticulture, • animal husbandry and fisheries. IV. PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES 1. Applications for participation (active or passive) must be submitted by April 15, 2026, via the UwS Conference System. 2. Registration is required for participation in the UwS Conference System. 3. Registering for the Forum constitutes acceptance of this Participant Guide for the 6th Siedlce PhD Forum. 4. Active participants are required to confirm their PhD student status. 5. Active participants are guaranteed a 15-minute presentation, in Polish or English. 6. A detailed Forum program will be sent to registered participants by email no later than 7 days before the event. 7. Active participants who wish to publish a chapter in a peer-reviewed, multi-author monograph are required to submit their text, formatted in accordance with editorial requirements, by June 30, 2026, to the following email address: forumdok.siedlce@uws.edu.pl. 8. The text must include: • 20,000-40,000 characters, • author's first and last name, • author's affiliation, • author's ORCID number, • title (in Polish and English), • keywords (in Polish and English), • abstract (in Polish and English). V. PUBLICATION 1. Submitted and accepted texts will be published in a peer-reviewed, multi-author monograph of the 6th Siedlce PhD Forum. 2. The Scientific Committee of the Conference is responsible for accepting submitted texts. VI. FINAL INFORMATION 1. All information and questions should be directed to: forumdok.siedlce@uws.edu.pl. 2. The organizers reserve the right to: a. Make changes to the Forum program, b. Refuse to accept any submission that does not meet the formal requirements.
